Blackstar, the live music venue that moved into the former Brink space behind Firestone/Venue 578, closed late last month. The closure was sudden and without notice, as the indie folk band, the 502s, discovered on the day of a scheduled performance that they would need to find a new venue.

The closure of Blackstar and sister space Odd Jobs, was the result of a sale, as discussed in a story by Orlando Weekly‘s Bao Le-Huu, “The disappearance and fallout of downtown Orlando’s Blackstar venue.” Be sure to read that piece to find out where all of Blackstar’s talented promoters have ended up since the big shakeup.

The under-development Firestone revamp into Vanguard is still reportedly underway, and the old marquee was recently updated to include a “Coming Soon, Club Vision” message above the gutted venue.

The Club Vision team has branded itself as an “… entertainment event space. Combining euphoric sounds with awe-inspiring decor, and the ultimate VIP experience.”

Features, according to their profile, will include LED archways, three separate gathering areas including a full-service covered patio area, and on-site parking.

Club Vision (Website) is located at 46 Concord Street [GMap] and a Grand Opening party is currently scheduled for July 21 at 10 p.m. featuring actor Joseph Sikora from the series Power on Starz.

Find out more information on the event HERE on their Eventbrite page – Tickets are $15.
