Global Peace Film Festival trailer produced by Larimer and Co. Branding Studios.

The Global Peace Film Festival (FacebookWebsite) is an annual event with a mission to use creative media as a “catalyst to inspire and educate people to initiate positive change in their local communities and worldwide.”

Each film in the festival program is curated to encourage open dialogue.

The Global Peace Film Festival (GPFF) showcases films that make a difference at multiple theaters throughout the area, including Rollins College, the Winter Park Public Library, and Valencia College.

This year, for its 16th event, GPFF will also be presenting an exhibition of photographs by South African photographer, Peter Morey. Morey’s subject for this show is none other than Nelson Mandela, and opens on September 20 at the Ford Kiene Gallery in the CityArts Factory. The exhibition will run through September 20.

Tickets range from free-$10 and passes are available for $99 or $199. Click HERE for a complete list of documentaries and locations or scroll down for the festival program.

Editor’s Note: Bungalower Bundle subscribers are encouraged to check their emails for an e-version of their Bungalower Bundle which has a BOGO admission ticket to a movie of their choice at this year’s festival.
