Heart of Florida United Way (Website) has established a fund to support Central Florida residents who are being negatively impacted by the coronavirus epidemic.

The Fund was made with an initial investment of $100,000 from Heart of Florida United Way but they are currently seeking more investors in order to support as many families as possible.

The fund is meant to support ALICE, or Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, persons who have their hours decreased or are on unpaid leave from their jobs. Nearly half of Central Floridians are classified as “ALICE” and live paycheck to paycheck.

To be considered, you must demonstrate financial need by presenting documentation, including bank statements, pay stubs, rent agreements, utility bills, and more.

Individuals seeking assistance are being directed to 211 for pre-screening and to gather the appropriate documentation. Clients will be processed once all documentation is received and the Heart of Florida United Way offices reopen in the near future.
