SunScreens Film Series featuring “Easy to Love”

Esther Williams water skis and swims to Busby Berkeley’s aquatic choreography at fabulous Cypress Gardens in it’s 1953’s prime. The film features an elaborate water-skiing sequence in which Esther Williams and a squadron of other skiers ski in formation around Winter Haven’s Lake Eloise, maneuvering around cypress trees and executing high-speed jumps. Our SunScreens Sunday matinees feature films linked to Florida. We’ll supply the popcorn, along with facts about each film.

One Giant Leap: 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Moon Landing

Fifty years to the day after astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon in 1969, we’re celebrating that mega-historic event and the Central Florida community that helped make it possible. Enjoy fun family activities, presented in partnership with WUCF TV and the Orange County Library System. Come dressed in 1960s Mod or space-themed attire. Visit our neighbor, the Orlando Public Library, for more programs and events, also from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
