AdventHealth has installed a new solar panel array on the top of a newly-constructed parking garage in its Ivanhoe Village campus.
The hospital has installed 1,800 new solar panels on its parking garage at McRae Avenue, between Princeton and Rollins streets, that is expected to generate roughly 1.3 million kilowatt hours worth of energy each year. If successful, AdventHealth is saying it will install arrays on every one of its campuses in Central Florida.
The 300-ton steel canopy is expected to save the hospital more than $4.6 million in energy costs.
