The Florida Agriculture Department has started to reopen its campgrounds and trailheads as of Friday, May 8.

Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried shared that the state will keep a number of recreational areas and public restroom areas closed during its phased reopening of sites across the state due to “… an abundance of caution.”

At the time of this post, Blackwater River State Forest, Jennings State Forest, Welaka State Forest, Tiger Bay State Forest, Withlacoochee State Forest, and Tate’s Hell State Forest were still closed until further notice.
