The National Women’s Soccer League announced this past Monday that it had canceled the contracts of Orlando Pride coaches Amanda Cromwell and Sam Greene, according to a report by ESPN.

“Cromwell’s and Greene’s employment contracts are terminated effective immediately. Cromwell and Greene are ineligible to work in the NWSL in any capacity unless or until approved by the Commissioner,”

The announcement was made following an investigation into allegations of harassment and retaliation, which the league says violated its policies against bullying. The two were placed on temporary leave in June 2022, but were ultimately fired when the allegations were proved to be real – and a larger report revealed a “… league in which abuse and misconduct — verbal and emotional abuse and sexual misconduct — had become systemic, spanning multiple teams, coaches, and victims.”

Cromwell has since stated that she is “reviewing all legal options” declaring that the investigation was flawed and “lacked transparency, professionalism, and thoroughness.”

Orlando Pride Chairman Mark Wilf issued the following statement.
