As Arsenal prepares for its upcoming friendly match versus Orlando City on Wednesday, July 20 at Exploria Stadium, fans should be aware of another Orlando connection on the field, their uniforms.

Arsenal will be sporting a new black and gold away kit that was released on Monday, that was co-designed with Orlando activist Aston Mack, who grabbed international attention in 2020 while wearing an Arsenal shirt at a local Black Lives Matter protest.

Mack, who founded the Orlando Freedom Fighters (Facebook), was approached by Arsenal to travel with the team for their U.S. tour this summer and you can read more about his experience behind the scenes with the team in THIS piece by CBS Sports.

The Orlando City match is part of the Florida Cup series which also features a game between Arsenal and Chelsea FC at Camping World Stadium, where they installed a new natural grass playing surface last week.
