SOLE presents the first class in its Adulting 101 series: Basic Car Care! Never learned to take proper care of your car? Now’s your chance! Each concept will be specifically tailored to your vehicle so that you’ll leave knowing exactly what to do to take good care of your car.
Taking care of your car should be considered a basic life skill. There is no reason why a car cannot survive for 100,000, 150,000, or more, miles. All it takes is a bit of preventative maintenance.
In this class, you will learn how to check your engine oil, transmission fluid, radiator fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, and how to add fluids when needed. We will also discuss when these fluids should be changed.
From there, you will learn how to change your windshield wipers and how to add washer fluid when your reservoir is low.
Finally, you will also learn how to change a flat tire and about the importance of proper tire rotation to extend the life cycle of your tires. While we are changing the tire, you will learn how to inspect your brakes to determine whether they need to be changed.
Come dressed to get dirty and bring a towel that will be used when checking vehicle fluids.
This class is limited to 12 spots so that we can look at each car individually!
