What’s Up Downtown: A Look into Downtown’s Past

A key part of our city’s plan for strategic growth is recognizing, preserving, and celebrating our past. Join the next What’s Up Downtown on Thursday, March 1 at 9:00 a.m. at the Downtown Orlando Information Center to take a step back in history for a special Historic Walking Tour of downtown Orlando.

The 45 minute tour will include multiple guest speakers including Michael Perkins, Executive Director of the Historical Society and the Manager of the Orange County Regional History Center, Richard Forbes, Historic Preservation Officer with the City of Orlando, and character appearances from members of Orlando Remembered.

The tour will conclude at the 1927 historic Orange County Courtroom, located within the Orange County Regional History Center. Following the tour, guests are invited for a complimentary visit of the exhibits within the History Center.

Please be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes.
