The Rotary Club of Orlando will be hosting its Second Annual Great Rotary Swan Boat Race (Website) on Saturday, March 19 at Lake Eola.

The Great Rotary Swan Boat Race pits teams of racers against each other in a lighthearted and fun series of three-boat heats on Lake Eola through an elimination process to determine one champion.

Last year’s event saw 16 teams paddling for the win in Central Park and raised roughly $10,000. The moneys raised helped to purchase an ADA accessible Swan Boat for wheelchair-bound guests. Which we wrote about HERE last July.
According to the event’s website, this year participants under 18 years of age will be permitted to race. Also the required number of passengers per boat has been changed to a minimum of four and maximum of five.
Races begin at 8 a.m. sharp.
