Octoberfest
Celebrate Octoberfest by consuming vast amounts of German food and beer. Chef Andy will be cooking up some delicious pub grub and German food specials, and we will be tapping a few German kegs of beer. Prost!!
October Conductor Crawl
The Conductor Crawl is focused on highlighting advantages of using public transit to enhance the “everyday” experience of life through friendly, thought-provoking and enlightening interactions. Most notably, mingling and networking with the help of SunRail and the neighborhoods that are connected to it.

Candide
Composed by Leonard Bernstein and based on Voltaire’s satiric comedy of the same name, Candide is the story of a young man (Candide) who sets off with his friends to find the true meaning of life. Their exploits along the way, including separation amid war, mistaken identity, kidnapping, murder and a shipwreck, cause them all to question their philosophy that “all is for the best.” In the end, optimism remains, but good sense prevails. Fully-costumed and stage, sung in English.

Backyard Biodiversity Day
An event to introduce the plant, animal, reptile and insect diversity into the Florida home landscape. Knowledgeable professionals, City organizations, non-profits and a few vendors come together to inform and support the public that is fostering more biodiversity in their neighborhoods.
Steampunk Industrial Show

“The Untold” Spoken Word Poetry Event
“The Untold” Spoken Word Poetry Event is a fundraiser for ZORA! Education Day (ZED). Historically, the youth-inspired day for educating 17-29 year-olds about Zora Neale Hurston takes place on the friday or first day of the Zora Neale Hurston Outdoor Festival of the Arts & Humanities. Talented Spoken Word artists from Central Florida and beyond will be gracing the stage sharing their poems created around the theme of the night: An excerpt from one of Zora Neale Hurston’s literary works…
Immersive Audio Experiment
Imagine walking in an open grass field, plugging in a URL on your smartphone, and following silly instructions with 100 of your friends. This is the Immersive Audio Experience, and it is coming to Orlando. The event will be roughly 30 minutes, and has two performance times: 6:45 PM and 8:30 PM. Grab tickets on eventbrite. Jazz’n Blues Stroll
Harry P. Leu Gardens has been featuring amazing talent from all over Central Florida to perform in the gardens at the annual fall Jazz’n Blues Concert since 1986. This fall the Jazz’n Blues Concert will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 7:00 – 10:00 pm highlighting three very remarkable groups: Tampa’s very own bluesy Betty Fox Band, Orlando’s jazzy Robert Harris Group and Cocoa’s blues group the Matt Sams Band.
