Reel Fish Coastal Kitchen and Bar (Website) is expected to be February 9, 2017, for dinner service only. Weekend brunch service will begin on the weekend of February 18 and lunch service on Tuesday, March 7.
The new concept by Fred Thimm was announced in October, 2016 HERE. The restaurant theme is inspired by classic Florida fish camps and will offer “coastal cuisine in an inland setting” and will specialize in sustainably-sourced seafood from Florida’s Atlantic and Gulf coasts. The kitchen will be run by chefs Michael Zajac and Michael Huffler.
Notable features will include a raw bar with oysters on the half-shell, ceviche, and peal-and-eat Florida shrimp. Reel Fish will also offer farm-to-table, GMA-free beef and brisket blend burgers from Creekstone Farms. The craft cocktails, local beers and wine list is being curated by Alex Plotkin, owner of Chops Restaurant in Philadelphia.
Reel Fish is located in the former home of the Ravenous Pig at 1234 Orange Avenue, Winter Park [GMap].
This should be our next date night

It’s totally great to see more places are deciding to serve more seafood, as its healthy and low in price, making it affordable to most people.
Also, there are many great seafood dishes available on the seafood kitchen menu:
