California Tortilla (Facebook | Website) opened on Church Street on March 14, 2018 but have since closed for business.
The “reimagined” Mexican restaurant specialized in items like quesadillas, bowls, tacos, and burrito and was located at 54 West Church Street [GMap].
According to a statement taped unceremoniously to the front door of the restaurant, the building owner is implying that California Tortilla has breached their lease by “failing to open for business without authorization from the Landlord.” According to the release, pictured below, a fine is being imposed along with a statement of their intent to repossess the space due to abandonment has been issued.
Their last Facebook post was on June 2.
