Lucky’s Market shares auction results for local stores

Lucky’s Market Declares Successful Bids by 10 Parties for 23 Stores,
Including Six Going-Concern Operating Stores, its Florida Distribution Center, One Owned Property and 16 Leases, in Court-Supervised Auction for Approximately $29 Million

We told you HERE that both Aldi and Publix intended to purchase some vacated Lucky’s Market locations in the Orlando area. Those sales finally went through last week.

Lucky’s Market officials announced successful bids by roughly ten different parties for 23 different stores for a total of roughly $29 million.

Six stores will continue to operate as a going concern and employment offers will be made to the approximately 500 Team Members at these six stores, which include the Lucky’s Market stores in North Boulder, CO; Fort Collins, CO; Cleveland, OH; Columbus, OH; Traverse City, MI; and Columbia, MO.

Publix Super Market, Inc. was the winning bidder for five leased stores, including Naples, FL, Neptune Beach, FL, Clermont, FL, South Orange (Orlando), FL and Ormond Beach, FL, for a purchase price of $11.5 million.

ALDI Inc. was the winning bidder for one owned property (Oakland Park, FL) and five leased stores, including Coral Springs, FL, Sarasota, FL, Vineland, FL, Colonial Landing (Orlando), FL and Venice, FL, for a purchase price of $7.8 million.

Southeastern Grocers, LLC was the winning bidder for four leased stores, including Gainesville, FL, Melbourne, FL, Fort Meyers, FL and Lake Mary, FL, for a purchase price of $2.4 million.

Dave’s Market was the winning bidder for two ongoing leased stores in Cleveland, OH and Columbus, OH for a purchase price of $1.72 million.

Seabra’s Market was the winning bidder for the Hunter’s Creek, FL leased store for a purchase price of $1.25 million.

Dollar General Corporation was the winning bidder for the Orlando Distribution Center for a purchase price of $1.0 million.

An additional leased store in Bonita Springs, FL and owned property in Panama City, FL will potentially be subject to a subsequent auction.
