Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has announced that Florida will begin entering Phase 2 of its economic reopening process ton Friday, June 5.
Editor’s Note: This does not supersede the curfews in place across Orange County or here in Orlando.
Under the second phase of reopening, bars and pubs will be allowed to operate at 50 percent capacity indoors and at full capacity outdoors but patrons are only allowed to be served if seated. Entertainment businesses like bowling alleys and movie theaters will also be allowed to open with 50 percent capacity as well. Restaurants will now be allowed to permit bartop seating with appropriate social distancing.
Also allowed to reopen under Phase 2 are tattoo parlors and other personal service businesses – provided they have 50 percent occupancy inside.
Phase 2 does not include Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
Governor DeSantis has also extended the executive order that allowed for a moratorium on evictions and foreclosures through July 1.
