The Southern-inspired Mason Jar Provisions (Facebook | Website) that we told you was opening in Thornton Park back on June 4 has soft-opened.
Located in an adjoined space next to Burton’s Bar at 805 E. Washington Street [GMap], Mason Jar Provisions has added sidewalk seating for outdoor dining and is also serving food for bar patrons next door. The menu features a variety of snackable appetizers like fried pickles, Gulf shrimp, hush puppies, and Boudin Balls (pork, rice, jalapenos, and pepper jelly), as well as salads, sandwiches, and smash-cooked burgers. The owners are working on designated curbside pickup spaces out front on Washington Street as well as getting onto local delivery platforms and adding options to their current website.
Currently Mason Jar Provisions is open 2 p.m.-10 p.m. but is considering adding lunch service and will be expanding their evening hours to 2 a.m. in the near future to match Burton’s Bar.
