Bros With Hoes and Freehand Goods are going steady in Hourglass

Local goodies shop Freehand Goods (Facebook | Website), which started as a pop-up in East End Market, has been operating a second store in the Hourglass District since last October and they just got a new roommate.

The 1,000 SF was previously occupied by Freehand Goods and Gypset Co., but Gypset Collective (Instagram) moved out in 2020 and now Bros With Hoes Plant Co. (Instagram) has taken their place. BWH Plant Co. started as a plant-filled trailer hauled around town to special events and neighborhoods by two hunky dude friends (powered by their super cool wives) and now you can find them in one spot every day without having to track them down on their super-popular Instagram profile – they have over 87,000 followers.

It’s been awhile since we’ve introduced ourselves. So, HEY this is us… the crew behind Bros With Hoes Plant Co. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We’re a group of friends who met in college and last year came up with this crazy idea to start a mobile plant shop. The idea really stuck and a few weeks later we got a business license and began renovations on the now iconic BWH trailer. After a few months of pop up shops and word of the brand spreading far outside of central Florida, we knew it was time to expand to online. Almost a year later our shop is keeping us more than busy (in addition to our new kiddos) and we’re shipping nationwide! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When starting this venture we had no clue how it would turn out. We didn’t know if people would like our edgy branding, we had no idea we’d be quickly expanding to online or that our site would be selling out within minutes every week. To say this first year of business has been WILD would be an understatement! We can not thank our customers enough for making our small business dreams come to life. The shop has plants, clothing, an interactive DIY candle-pouring station, original art and prints, pickle-making kits, and more.
