2023 Private Gardens of Historic Orlando
March 26 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm$20 – $25
On Sunday, March 26, 2023, the Lake Eola Heights Historic Neighborhood Association will present the 10th bi-annual tour of ‘The Private Gardens of Historic Orlando Featuring Lake Eola Heights’. This year’s event will build on what has become a very popular feature on Orlando’s calendar of gardening events. This is the inagural tour after a four-year hiatus, so the neighborhood is looking forward to showcasing its beautiful gardens once again.
The tour is designed to provide our guests the chance to experience the charming, hidden places found within the neighborhood. Take your time, stop and smell the roses, and stroll along the beautiful brick streets dappled by sunlight, filtered through a veil of oak boughs and Spanish moss. this is an opportunity to share some truly unique and enchanting garden spaces in the neighborhood and speak with those who are responsible for their creation.
Plant vendors will be set up at ‘Garden Central’, located next to Broadway United Methodist Church at 406 East Amelia St., allowing guests to purchase plants for their own gardens. Complementary EVs will be available on the day of the tour to drive our visitors.
The self-guided tour begins at noon and ends at 5:00 pm. Tickets will be $20.00 if purchased in advance and $25.00 at Garden Central on the day of the tour. You may pick up tickets in advance starting in February at Eola General, located at 522 East Amelia Street at the intersection of East Amelia and Cathcart Avenue.
Garden tour tickets can also be purchased online at:
There will be a total of 8 homes and you may visit as many as you wish. Proceeds will go to the Lake Eola Heights Historic District and to benefit Orange Preservation Trust (OPT). Hope to see you there!
