Art Sandwiched In: Ukraine’s Greatest Generation

March 1 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

FREE
For nearly half his life, Benjamin Mack-Jackson has been dedicated to sharing the stories of World War II – and now the war in Ukraine – so that his generation won’t repeat the deadly mistakes of the past. As a filmmaker, author, and student of historical war and conflict, Benjamin never imagined he’d find himself in the position to document a modern war firsthand, especially one in Europe. But all of that changed when Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Join Benjamin to learn about the deep historical connections in the Russo-Ukrainian war and get a behind-the-scenes look at his travels to the war-torn country. A selection of his photographs is currently on view at the museum in Ukraine’s Greatest Generation: Courage in the Midst of Chaos, presented by the Ginsburg Family Foundation. Benjamin is a junior at Rollins College majoring in International Relations.
