ReThinking Transportation Funding

In case you missed it, Orange County voters will decide if they want a one penny sales tax increase to fund transportation needs across the County. On April 26, 2022, the Orange County Board of County Commissioners voted 4-3 to put the transportation sales tax referendum on the November ballot.

As Director of Economic Development for the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council, Luis Nieves-Ruiz will present the findings of the economic impact analysis of Orange County’s proposed transportation funding initiative.

What happens to the economy when there’s $600M more in local transportation funding a year? Who benefits from those investments? Who’s pays for it? Get some of these answers and more!
