In November 2016, we wrote a Bring to Orlando column about the Repair Cafe phenomenon popping up around the world, HERE, and now one is coming to the Winter Park Public Library (Website).

A Repair Cafe is a pop-up event where people can learn how to repair old items, rather than throw them out.

The event will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on May 13 and is free to attend (don’t come too early or you’ll interupt the Ukulele Society meeting). The library is currently looking for people who know how to fix certain items who would be willing to sign up and donate their skills. Click HERE to sign up.

Editor’s Note: Well, it’s coming to Winter Park, one of our coverage areas, so we’ll mark this as a success.
