Gisela Carbonell has been named as the new curator of the Cornell Fine Arts Museum at Rollins College.

Carbonell comes to the college-run arts venue after acting as the Director of Curatorial Affairs at Artis-Naples, The Baker Museum in Naples, Florida. She has a Ph.D. in Art History from the University of Illinois and an M.A. in Art History at University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a B.A. in Political Science from University of Puerto Rico; where she also served as an Associate Professor of Art History and Humanities.

Carbonell is now responsible for exhibitions, acquisitions, research and publications at the museum and will work with the Director on a new schedule of exhibitions and educational programs built around the permanent collection.

Carbonell is expected to join Rollins as of June 18.
