Track Shack’s annual SimplyIOA Corporate 5K is scheduled to return to downtown Orlando’s Lake Eola Park on Thursday, May 9.
This year’s event is expected to draw an estimated 12,000 runners and walkers to participate, with roughly 500 corporate and non-profit teams. The event will kick off at 5 p.m. with runners taking off at 6:15 p.m. on Central Boulevard. Live entertainment is planned for locations along the route including at Central Boulevard near Langford Park and along Robinson Street near Hampton.
Roads included in the route will be closed for the majority of the day, just in time for rush hour traffic out of downtown, so plan your trips accordingly.
Proceeds from the event are donated to the Track Shack Youth Foundation and Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
