Today’s House of the Day is a 1926 home located in the Lake Eola Heights Historic District. Personally this house has always caught our attention when driving down Concord. The five bedroom, four bath colonial style home is familiar is 3,373 square feet. According to the listing the house features large rooms, original hardwood floors, volume ceilings, a number of arched windows and hallways, two fireplaces, a sun room and a large kitchen. They are asking $479,000. It was originally listed for sale for $699,000 in 2009. The listing has been removed and re-listed many times since.
More from the listing:
The master suite is located on the second floor which is 18 ft. x 12 ft. The en suite bathroom has original hexagon floor tiles with an original tub and a separate walk-in shower. Two other bedrooms are on the second floor with a jack and jill bathroom. Off the third bedroom a door that opens to a roof deck. The third floor has been converted to the 4th bedroom with a ton of storage. There is even a basement (under central AC) that would make for a great wine room. The main house is 2,874 sq. ft. Of all the listings, this home is one of my favorites especially b/c of the R2 zoning. The original listing a few years ago included a Rolls Royce as a buyer incentive – but I’m sure that’s no longer part of the deal at this point. Although it needs a ton of updating, it has great bones and a lot of potential. If I had the money, I’d gladly buy this home and tastefully renovate it.
