Bulk Nation (Website | Facebook) is now open in the Colonial Plaza shopping center at 2522 E Colonial Dr [GMap].
The new bulk style grocery store is a first for our area.
They sell all sorts of items in bulk without the packaging.
Essentially you scoop your items into a bag and are charged based on weight.
We were surprised by the variety of items they sell including nuts & seeds, spices, pasta/beans/rice, baking products, dried fruit, snacks, and candy.
The concept started in Sarasota last year and they have since opened a store in Brandon and now their Orlando location.
The hours for the Orlando location are Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Here’s a look inside Bulk Nation in Colonial Plaza:
I remember this concept in the late 70s early 80s in Virginia. It worked for a while until people starting digging in like it was free food for the taking. Hopefully, employees are monitoring the bins and people aren’t just using their bare hands to “help themselves”.
Love that place but hate their logo. When they first opened, I thought it was an urgent care because of the color choices.
This place has a crazy amount of variety….was oddly fascinated with all the stuff in bulk…welcome to Mills50!
Do they ever have issues with sanitation? i.e. someone sneezes as they open the almonds container..
I absolutely love this place great discount for us poor college students on Tuesdays . Awesome!
Wife has been there and thinks it is great.
Ha! I saw you taking this picture.
