City Council approved a resolution to support the expansion of La Chiquita, a family owned and operated tortilla manufacturer based out of Atlanta.

The company creates high quality tortillas for restaurants across the country.

According to the City, La Chiquita is considering District 6 [Map] in the City of Orlando as a location for the a second manufacturing facility.
Cassandra Lafser, Public Information Officer for the City of Orlando, stated that if La Chiquita chooses Orlando for this project, the company will create 110 new high-wage jobs for residents between now and 2020.
