An 8-acre restaurant project could be coming to OBT, just outside of College Park [GMap].
The 8.17 acre project would consist of a restaurant, separate restroom building, and a massive wooden deck with outdoor seating area with connected tiki bar. The current submitted plans would include floating docks with boat slips for recreational access to Lake Fairview and a possible playground adjacent to the deck.
This will be the third Grills Family Restaurant (Website)Â location, following two others in Melbourne and Port Canaveral.
Their other locations host live music, open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily, catering to families rather than late night crowds and their current menus feature very beachy dishes like chowder, seafood and bar fare but also sushi and kabobs.

To the owner who’s name is VERY difficult to find….My friend just came from your Restaurant and told me that outside of the restaurant is a large sign stating ” Emotional Support Animals” are not permitted. Stating the obvious… I will never be able to eat at your new restaurant! (Wikipedia) An emotional support animal (ESA) is a companion animal that a medical professional has determined provides benefit for an individual with a disability. Emotional support animals, (typically dogs) may be used by people with a range of physical, psychiatric, or intellectual disabilities. In order to be prescribed an emotional support animal the person seeking such an animal must have a verifiable disability. To be afforded protection under United States federal law, a person must meet the federal definition of disability and must have a note from a physician or other medical professional stating that the person has that disability and that the emotional support animal provides a benefit for the individual with the disability. An animal does not need specific training to become an emotional support animal.
Many Veterans have an EMA! Many women, like myself, who have experienced severe trauma, have an EMA.
What happened to you that brings you to be so cold to people who really need warmth? I’m sorry for your pain. Perhaps you require an EMA? I think an EMA would CHANGE your life!!! It has mine!

Looks like this will be where Park Avenue (and then Shooters) was located? A nice improvement for a piece of property that has been an eyesore for years.
There used to be one of these (probably a different restaurant chain) there in the 70’s or 80’s. Pilots used to fly land sea planes on the water and go to the restaurant. It’d be awesome if they did this again.
