Elixir Orlando is hoping to add a patio

According to an application filed with the City of Orlando requesting a Major Certificate of Appropriateness, Elixir [Facebook | GMap] is hoping to add a raised wood patio with a trellis to the western side of the building.

The patio would include a hard canopy structure that extended over the southern entrance, which faces the street.

The application was recently approved by the Historic Preservation Board at their September 2 meeting although any future sidewalk cafe dining use will have to be approved with additional review.
