UPDATE: The second phase of this project has been delayed until further notice.

The City of Winter Park is working to improve stormwater drainage at the intersection of New York and Lyman Avenues near the Winter Park Farmers Market and the adjacent railroad crossing [GMap]. The work or the first phase of the project began on January 4 and will continue through January 8.

The second phase will start at 10 p.m. on January 22. This includes replacing the railroad tracks themselves and the demolition, rebuilding, and resurfacing of the crossing to create a smoother road surface. Construction is expected to last until January 24.

According to the City of Winter Park, detours will be in place during both closures.
