An Orlando-based pet matchmaking service, PawsLikeMe (Facebook | Website) has expanded their services from just dogs, to include cats as well.

The pet adoption site is working on an algorithm that “predicts people-to-cat compatibility.” The service is free to use but they have just launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to support the new cat algorithm research. The goal is $15,000. Additional funds raised will go towards installing PawsLikeMe kiosks at existing shelters.

The site launched in 2015 in an effort to look beyond the cute, fluffy faces and physical qualities of pets seeking homes, in order to identify key factors that could determine optimum compatibility between a person and their pet. The site has already helped connect over two million people with adoptable dogs since the launch.
