Not your typical exhibition opening, Culture Pop! connects guests with the artists and the art itself. Flashback Friday the 13th
Please join me and co-producer/curator Rebecca Ashe in a showing of photo shoots that I have art directed for Bohemian Post and other various other flashbacks. There will also be a raffle of items donated by local businesses for the cause. This project’s proceeds will go directly to One Heart for Women and Children (oneheartforwomenandchildren.org)
Posing Beauty in African American Culture
Snap! Space presents: ‘Posing Beauty in African American Culture.’ Photographic images from 1890 until today. Curated by Dr. Deborah Willis, this exhibition includes an esteemed roster of artists focused on African American art : Mickalene Thomas, Hank Willis Thomas, Carrie Mae Weems, Gordon Parks, Bruce Davidson, Leonard Freed, Jamel Shabazz, Omar Victor Diop, Bayeté Ross Smith, to name just a few… Shown for the first time in Florida, this exhibit has been featured in New York Times, LA Times.

Emerald City Cabaret Presents RESET
After Hurricane Matthew spoiled our fun, Emerald City Cabaret is back for their delayed anniversary show! Come join the cast of RESET as they ring in the new year with style, class and a whole lot of sass! With the closing of 2016, come out to the Venue us in celebration for another wonderful year and for many more to come.
Central Florida Scottish Highland Games
The Central Florida Scottish Festival and Highland Games has something for everyone. There are Clans and Societies, Highland Games competitions, and vendors. The vendors have food/beverages and various Scottish and Irish wares to sell.

2017 Sonny’s Smokin’ Showdown
The nation’s top pitmasters are comin’ to Central Florida to put their skills to the test. Come watch the action in person, plus enjoy live music by Frankie Ballard and other local acts, fun, and games for kids, and of course, delicious BBQ. General admission for adults is $5, and children 10 and under are FREE. Parking is free. Your admission will get you into the Zoo for free from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Artists’ Talks From Artborne Annual
Come to The Gallery at Avalon Island Saturday January 14th at noon for the artists’ talks and the last day of the ARTBORNE Annual exhibition. Gallery at Avalon Island will supply coffee and Krispy Kreme doughnuts. ARTBORNE Annual features artists Gary Bolding, Matt Roberts- with poems by Terri Witek, Lesley Silvia, Wanda Raimundi-Ortiz, Scott Scheidly, Kyle, and Hannah Spector & Jacob Bailes. ARTBORNE Annual is a early exhibiton, published in collaboration with Artborne Magazine’s December issue.
Winter Sky Festival 2017 [Presented by CFE Federal Credit Union]
The Buehler Planetarium at Seminole State College is proud to present the 2017 Winter Sky Festival on Saturday, Jan. 14, from 5 to 11 p.m.! Visitors will be treated to telescope viewings of the moon; the planets Venus, Mars, Uranus, and Neptune; and numerous galaxies, star clusters and nebulae. We are extremely fortunate to have the support of CFE Federal Credit Union as our community sponsor for this year’s Festival.
Night of Fire & Director’s Choice VI Opening
Crealdé’s Night of Fire & the opening of the Director’s Choice VI exhibition! Tour the campus and enjoy art workshops & demonstrations, including welding, kiln and raku firing, and painting and drawing.
