A project overview entitled “Division Avenue Dedications” has been filed to do a preliminary review for possible streetscape improvements of the Downtown corridor.
The City-initiated amendment to the Growth Management plan is looking to create a new subarea policy to address right-of-way and development rights along the street. This would help to facilitate any possible construction in the future.
The proposed streetscape project could add enhancements like sidewalks and a bike trail, to ultimately connect with the Orlando Urban Trail.
Conceptual plans for the improvements have not been created at this time.
According to the Public Information Office, this is not a proposal by the City, to rename the street.
