Public radio station, 90.7 WMFE, has purchased the license for WKSG-FM 89.5 in Cedar Creek, FL.
The purchase of the new signal allows the station to fill in a small gap in their radio coverage area in Central Florida, mainly in Marion and Sumter counties.
According to a release from the station, the sales price of $900,000 was mostly paid for using funds gained by the sale of the WMFE-TV PBS station to UCF in 2012. Dedicated major donations paid for the remaining balance.
