LYNX joined a nationwide call to arms on October 10, asking Congress to include transit in all infrastructure improvement programs moving forward.
The event was part of Voices For Public Transit, a movement that supports increased funding for public transportation, and was in direct response to a recent proposal by the current Administration to cut public transportation funding.

According to their website, LYNX is a “stand alone governmental unit with an operating budget of $129,700,062 for FY 2017.” Fares and advertising account for roughly 27 percent of their operating budget.
