A representative of an entity called Veneto Builder, LLC has filed an application to build a two-unit, three-story mixed-use building on the empty lot at 811 E. Washington Street in Thornton Park [GMap], across the street from Dexter’s.

The 62.5 x 100 foot property has been vacant for years and was the subject of one of our past “I Wish This Was” columns in 2015. It’s located in the Lake Lawsona Historic District in the heart of the Thornton Park Main Street.

The project, currently referred to as the Parrish Building, would be divided into two units and have retail space at the ground level, parking in the rear, and living space above, each with their own roof deck.

The townhome-style units would measure 2,477 SF and the retail around 607 SF.

The project will be looked over by the Historic Preservation Board on March 7. It would require variances for the rear yard buffer, driveway width, impervious surface coverage, and the height.
