In a surprising follow-up to our post from February concerning the Mars Landing-like soil amendment equipment on the old Chevron site [GMap] on the corner of Fern Creek and Colonial, Bungalower has just learned that a Kobe Steakhouse is not in the works for that parcel.

According to a very early plan filed with the City of Orlando for a pre-application meeting, a Wawa gas station is being planned for the long-vacant property.

As seen in the graphic above, prepared by Kimley Horn (Website), plans call for a new 6,119 SF retail shop and what appears to be a five-pump gas station. Access to the lot would be provided on all sides of the development; Woodward Street, Altaloma Avenue, Fern Creek Avenue, and Colonial Drive.

This is an early-stage development and still has some approvals to earn in City Hall before moving forward.

The former Chevron building was razed in June, 2016, which we covered HERE.

Editor’s Note: You may recall THIS story we wrote earlier in the month about the property across the street that Starbucks is eyeing up for a drive-thru location.
