Tampa-based The Donut Experiment (Website) will be opening a new shop in the SODO District, if all goes well with City Hall.
The do-it-yourself donut shop has filed paperwork for a new storefront at 211 E. Michigan Street [GMap] from which it is hoping to sell its popular choose-your-own-toppings fare.
Guests are able to pick their own toppings and glazes for blank donuts that are cooked on the spot. Current toppings include flavors like maple, chocolate, and vanilla as well as fancier toppings like candy bars, graham crackers, and Sriracha.
