“We’re really excited about this location because it’ll have all the classic Jimmy Hula’s favorites with a few new twists for the downtown community,”
– Zach Hartman, Vice President Jimmy Hula’s.

Central Florida-based restaurant chain, Jimmy Hula’s (Website), has announced that they will be opening a new express location in Downtown Orlando.

The new “Urban Express” kitchen will be taking over the kitchen at The Basement bar, located at 68 E. Pine Street [ GMap]. If that sounds familiar, it’s because The Basement did something similar in August 2016, HERE, with a taco concept called Taco68; a specialty taco kitchen which has since closed.

The new Jimmy Hula’s Urban Express location will feature a more contemporary atmosphere inside the bar, as well as a streamlined menu complemented by products from Valkyrie Doughnuts and Foxtail Coffee. Brunch will be available on Saturdays and Sundays.

Jimmy’s new downtown annex is expected to go into soft opening on Monday, August 6, followed by a grand opening on Friday, August 17.
