Sayulita Taqueria (Website) is proposing to the City of Orlando to open a new taco restaurant at 1214 Kuhl Avenue [GMap] just north of the Sodo Shopping Center.

The area currently houses mostly medical offices for the Orlando Regional Medical Center, and is somewhat of a food desert, with most day-time workers leaving the neighborhood for lunch.

Say Taco, as it is referred to in the project scope, is proposed to be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and will incorporate actual shipping containers instead of a traditional building.

Sayulita Taqueria, is named after Sayulita, a small town just north of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It is a popular place for surfers, foodies, and selfie-prone travelers. This would be the second location for the eatery, after the first which opened in Ocala.

An opening date has not been released at this time.
