Southwest Value Partners, the new owners of the Bank of America Building, are investing in the long-ignored courtyard space located directly outside of their popular restaurant tenant, DoveCote Brasserie (Website).

The outdoor space, which fronts Orange Avenue and the Orange County Courthouse, is in the process of being transformed into an innovative urban parklet available for special event rentals and an elevated brunch service, overseen by DoveCote management.

Renovations include fresh landscaping, enhanced lighting, turf, faux ivy walls to block out the noise of traffic and frame the space like an outdoor living room, modern furniture, and more.

The DoveCote team is still waiting for the arrival of more lighting and some essential furniture pieces but expects to be able to fully roll out the new space by the end of the year with regular event programming to take place throughout the month of May.

Those interested in renting the space can reach out to [email protected] for more information.

The project also includes the addition of new signage on the exterior of the building, as shown below. The new sign package will be partially funded by the Community Redevelopment Agency’s Downtown Facade and Building Stabilization Program Funding Agreement, in the amount of $9,950.
