SPONSORED: This July, the World Tennis Team (Website) will kick off its 44th season in Orlando, running from July 14-31, 2019.

New to this year’s lineup is a powerhouse Orlando Storm team that includes 2011 French Open Mixed Doubles Champion, Scott Lipsky, who will lead the team as head coach, with Jocelyn Davie as General Manager.

The Storm will begin their season facing off against Las Vegas Rollers at the USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, the Storm’s home campus; which promises to be a fun match up with the Rollers having recently added Redfoo, from LMFAO, as an assistant coach and he will be here in Orlando for the July 14 kick off.

Headlining for the Orlando Storm and leading the team in their first season will be 2017 US Open Finalist, and top American Madison Keys, as well as 2016 French Open Doubles Champion, Feliciano Lopez. They will be backed up by a strong roster that includes, the Storm’s Number One overall draft pick and rising young American star Whitney Osuigwe, University of Michigan Alum Evan King, as well as doubles specialists Darija Jurak and Ken Skupski.

World Tennis Team (WTT) is growing the league to eight teams for this year’s 44th season. WTT introduced professional team tennis in 1974, with Billie Jean King serving as its co-founder. The new teams in Orlando and Las Vegas are joining the league’s existing franchises; New York Empire, Orange County Breakers, Philadelphia Freedoms, San Diego Aviators, Springfield Lasers and Washington Kastles.

Since the League’s debut, virtually every major champion of the Open era has played WTT including Pete Sampras, Andy Roddick, Stefanie Graf, Andre Agassi, Venus and Serena Williams, Maria Sharapova, Lindsay Davenport, John McEnroe, Jimmy Connors, Martina Navratilova, Chris Everet and more.

In 2015, WTT joined the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB as only the 5th U.S. pro sports league to reach the 40 season milestone.
