SPONSORED: The Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC – The Reliable One) needs your help to pave a cleaner, greener future as they develop a 20-year energy roadmap.

OUC has provided residents and businesses with reliable electricity since 1923 and has become the 14th largest municipal utility in the nation, serving more than 400,000 accounts in Orlando, St. Cloud and unincorporated areas of Orange and Osceola Counties. To do this, they operate one of the most diverse power generation sites in Florida and continue to diversify their portfolio of clean energy resources. That’s where you come in.

The utility is looking to develop an Electric Integrated Resource Plan; a literal roadmap to meet the growing electric energy generation and transmission needs for the next 20 years. The roadmap will define OUC’s electric future in a way that balances reliability, affordability, sustainability, and resiliency.

In order to power Orlando with 100 percent renewable energy by 2050, OUC is determining how it will provide service in the future while balancing those four aspects and needs you to provide input on which of these four is the most important to you. Your feedback will be taken into consideration as they develop their plan.

Watch the short video provided on the OUC Roadmap website HERE to learn more and then following the video, you’ll have an opportunity to share your vision for our energy future.
