Move over Crispers, Salata Salad Kitchen (Facebook | Website) is giving you a reboot.  Over the last year, Lakeland-based Crisper’s restaurants around the Orlando area started shuttering their doors with almost no one noticing and many of those locations are currently being snatched up and replaced by Houston-based Salata Salad Kitchen.

On September 12, Salata Winter Park Village will open its doors at 480 N. Orange Avenue [GMap]. The Houston-based chain specializes in built-to-order salads, wraps, soups, and more. Salata focuses on freshness, with a multitude of fresh fruits, vegetables, gluten-free dressings and lean proteins prepared daily in-house. Their “Tea Tap” is kept stocked with organic teas and tasty lemonades.

Guests will be able to enjoy a build-your-own succulent bar, a “flights and bites” station with samples of dressings and toppings, and a DJ. Twenty percent of grand opening day sales will benefit the Rollins College Wellness Center.

The Winter Park Salata restaurant is the 87th location for the company nationwide. The 5,400 SF restaurant will have seating for 110 inside with a patio space that seats 32. The restaurant will have a staff of 25. The Winter Park Salata will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.
