The City of Winter Park’s Sustainability Program is partnering with the League of Women Voters of Orange County Natural Resources Committee to recycle election signs at the end of this year’s political campaigns.
Winter Park residents are encouraged to bring their signs and stands to the following locations now through Sunday, November 22:
- Cady Way Park, 2525 Cady Way
- Community Garden at Mead Botanical Garden, 1300 S. Denning Drive
- Winter Park Fire-Rescue Station 64, 1439 Howell Branch Road
This recycling initiative is meant to divert yard signs from going to the landfill by transforming them into fuel used to power a regional cement manufacturing facility, Cemex.
