A realtor from Olde Town Brokers (Facebook | Website) has just broken the record for the highest-priced condo sold in downtown Orlando.

The unit, which is located in The Sanctuary building at 100 S. Eola Drive [GMap] by Lake Eola, is a two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom penthouse that was recently renovated from top to bottom. At the time, it was one of the largest units on the market at 4,244 SF.

The unit sold for $2.7 million.

Shelby Norwich, the realtor with Olde Town Brokers who represented the buyer in the transaction, told Bungalower that many local condo owners are now upgrading to larger units with more living space and larger balconies overlooking the downtown skyline, and that amenities are key. The Sanctuary offers 24/7 doorman and concierge services, secure valet parking, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a resident lounge, a heated infinity pool, and spa and resort-style cabanas in the heart of South Eola.

Erin Wanner, with Orlando-based Stockworth Realty Group LLC represented the seller.
