Grocery giant Kroger has just launched a new grocery delivery service in Central Florida, based out of a new facility in Groveland.
The chain handles every step of the delivery process, from direct purchases on its app or website to the actual deliveries, making it different from the middleman services offered by popular apps like Instacart.
Delivery fees are calculated based on demand during the chosen delivery window, lead time, and route optimization.
The delivery service is rumored to be a first move for the company in an expansion into Florida but they have yet to confirm if they will be opening any physical stores in the near future.
