UPDATE: Kameron Kaviani, co-owner of Magnolia, provided the following statement on the situation.
“We’ve had some major plumbing issues since New Year’s Eve, and plumbers are telling us we need to dig up the old cast iron pipes, which are shared with our neighbors. The landlord, David Robold, has refused to do the work. Every four or five weeks we’re faced with a major sewage backup and have been forced to close a number of times due to health and safety issues that dictate that that environment just isn’t suitable to operating a bar. We’re also facing issues with the fire exits and a number of other things that he is refusing to see to.”

Magnolia (Facebook | Website), a popular bar/lounge in downtown Orlando that was purchased by new owners in September 2020, has announced that it had been forced until further notice.
As seen on its Instagram account, the downtown venue says that it has been forced to close due to a disagreement with its landlord over issues like plumbing. We’ve reached out to the owners for more information but had not heard back at the time of this post.
The length of the closure is up in the air but the owners, Amanda and Kameron Kaviani, have both stated that they hope it’s over quickly.
