IT'S OUR LAST WEEK OF ELF ON THE SHELF RETAIL VISITS. FOLLOW ALONG ON OUR INSTAGRAM TO SEE OUR FAVORITE LOCAL SHOPS

For every $100 you spend at a locally owned business, $68 will stay in the community versus $43 if you shop at a national chain. If you want to help Orlando be a better place to live, work, and play, you need to spend your dollars with local vendors.

To help you do that, we’ve come up with this handy interactive map of locally owned retail shops that you can visit over the next month for all of your holiday shopping needs. We’ve included everything from clothing stores, to vintage shops, to wine stores, to bike shops. If we missed anything, shoot us an email to [email protected] with the name of the shop you’d like to see included. We’re trying to stay within our coverage area of downtown Orlando and Winter Park though, so no sass about leaving out Sanford and Winter Garden, y’all.

  1. Brendan,
Please contact me, Jonathan Toothman, owner of the oldest surviving RadioShack store in the United States, locally owned in Orlando since my father opened this store in 1970, 51 years ago. Our private business name is Innovative Electronics and have been operating at our current location at 2001 S Orange Av for 23 years.
Since RadioShack’s bankruptcy 6 years ago, in 2015, the remaining, and all company owned stores have closed, leaving this as the only (and still locally owned store) in Orlando.
