Olde Hearth Bread Company (Instagram | Website) has just announced that it will be closing its stall at the East End Market by the end of the year.
The artisan bakery company has operated in the Audubon Park foodie destination since it opened in 2013, using the stall as a satellite station for its fresh-baked bread and pastries while serving major clients like Walt Disney World and a number of Central Florida restaurant partners.
Olde Hearth’s last day at East End is scheduled for December 31, 2021, after which, shoppers will still be able to purchase their products at three different Whole Food locations, including Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, and Sandlake, as well as at local farmers markets.
The Olde Hearth stall will be taken over by Dochi (Instagram | Website) which currently is located on the second level of the building, selling their popular mochi donuts – a classic take on American donuts with chewy Japanese rice magic served in a fun ring that somewhat resembles a pearl bracelet. But covered in icing.
According to East End Market founder, John Rife, the new Dochi stall will feature a more robust cafe-style of offerings once open. We will share an update in the near future on an expected timeline as well as an update on what will be moving into their vacated space on the second floor.
It is hard to find a bakery with great bread. Most concentrate on sweet items, like cakes, cookies and donuts. These types of bakeries are all over Audubon Park. Olde Hearth made a wonderful addition to the area with great breads and will be missed.
